USDLC proudly announces its new web-based Virtual Teaching and Learning Community (VTLC), STAR-Online. Teachers can participate in self-paced online, quality training, access resources, and network and collaborate with other teachers nationwide. As a partner of USDLC, Western Illinois University’s College of Education and Human Services in Macomb manages all aspects of STAR-Online and offers graduate credit for participation. USDLC is a winner of four highly competitive United States Department of Education Star Schools Grants. Star Schools is a five-year federal grant designed to support projects that expand access to educational resources, address specific educational needs, or enhance innovative practice. The current USDLC Star Schools Grant focuses on integrating technology into the classroom by supporting teachers with anytime, anyplace online professional development.
